Getting Set Apart

On Tuesday, October 1, Missy was set apart as a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was a neat experience for those who were involved. Lucky for all of us we have a fabulous Missionary who is busy at the MTC now, Pray for her!

Here are a couple of pictures from before she got set apart.

I'm Going On A Mission, Kids!

I am Missy Broadbent. I have been called to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the South Carolina Columbia Mission, English speaking. I report to the Provo MTC on October 2, 2013. I am very excited, yet emotionally distraught to begin this next chapter in my life. Adventure is out there! Name that movie, kids. Here's a hint: Up.

You may be asking yourself, "Why the title "Donde Esta Missy?" Well, let's start off with the translation. It means, "Where is Missy?" in Spanish. One time in my life, I decided I liked Spanish. It all stemmed from my love of tacos. So, I learned as much as I could from my dear friend, Katherine, who had taken many years of Spanish. My vocabulary grew exponentially. And by exponentially, I mean I gained four new sentences. They are: Yo quiero mi madre. Donde esta Santa Claus? Palabra a tu madre. Yo necessito el bano? So, basically the simple answer to your question is I like to pretend I speak Spanish, when in reality I don't.

So, ya... peace out, bros.
